When checking DC Voltage Turn the knob to the 20V selection of the DCV section of the meter (Top Left section).   When checking Ohms turn the knob to the appropriate setting in the ohm section (bottom Left) For checking speaker loads put it on the 200 ohm scale. And remember when using the meter to check a speaker, you are reading the resistance of the coil, not the impedance. (that was just so I don't get corrected) The resistance will be very close to the impedance.    It also has a DCA section which is DC Amps. This will be a little more difficult to use. Let's get comfortable checking voltage and ohms then we can help you with testing current draw.
