Hi,
I'm thinking of getting this amp:
http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-mrp-f250_p-21624.htm
Plus these components:
http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-infinity-ref-6010cs_p-22418.htm
Only problem is, when not bridged, the amp only gives out 40W into 4Ohms per channel. The components are rated at 90W @ 4Ohms. However, when the amp is bridged, it gives out up to 180W @ 4Ohms.
So how do I set it up without frying the speakers? Do I simply turn the gains up less than normal? The main reason I want this particular amp, is because it looks the same as the monoblock I have powering my sub. I've looked for a 2 channel version but they don't seem to make it.
Thanks

I've run Alpine Type-R Components(also rated at 90W RMS) off the front of this amp with the rear hooked up to Type-R Coxials. I had to turn the gains up a little higher than I would have preferred, but it sounded good and has not had any problems since installed about 3 months ago. I have also run the Type-R components brigdged off this amp, and it sounded amazing with the gains at low volumes.

I also used to work with Infinity at a different shop, and have run the Reference 6010CS Components off of deck power when customers did not want to pay the extra $ for an amp. They worked, and rarely had problems, but didn't sound the best. But of course that's running off of 16-18W RMS, and you are looking at giving them 40W RMS.

Personally, I am not a big fan of the newer Infinity components(6010CS, Kappa 60.7CS), you can get much better speakers for the money. I would take a strong look at the Alpine SPR-17S component set.

My best suggestion would be to either upgrade to some different speakers or deal with having different looking amps.
