Any feedback would be appreciated. I installed a Crimestopper 1804FM on the vehicle a few months ago. The vehicle remotes starts sometimes. Would this be caused by a intermitent by-pass moduled?

What does it do when it doesn't remote start? Does it crank for a while, but never actually start? If so...then that is probably a bypass module problem. If it never cranks...you have another problem.

When it does not remote start, it never cranks, but looking at the two remote it appears as if the car is started. Another question....Will having the wrong battery in the car cause an issue. In this case te car has a smaller battery or the CCA is smaller than what is recommended and I notice when key start it is sluggish.

Brand/Model of the alarm/remote starter?

An old, weak battery will definitely mess with the remote starting of the vehicle -- particularly if the car is being started by voltage-sensing (and alternative to tachometer sensing).

The remote starter brain needs a certain voltage to operate appropriately, so if a battery was installed in this vehicle that is not for this vehicle (i.e. one w/ few cranking amps) then you may run into an issue with the remote starter.

The search function is your friend.
