Alrite I have a custom excessive amperage 300amp ho alternator in my F150 with a reg everstart battery. I upgraded the big 3 with 0 gauge wiring as well as double runs of 0 gauge to my distribution block. Im running 4 gauge power and ground to my Mojo 2000D from the distribution block, soon to be replaced by a kx2500.1. I also am running a MC2004 4 channel mclass amp on 4 mclass speakers. Im soon going to be adding another Kx2500.1 as well as 4 more 12" L7's to my truck so I will be running 2 Kx2500.1's and 8 12" L7's. I placed a volt meter at my mojo amp and when my car is on it reads 14.8 and when my bass hits the hard frequencies the voltage will go down to high 12's. My question is how many batteries do I need to support this system, and is my 300amp alt cutting it? Im looking at the Kinetik HC2400's can anyone help me thankyou.

Is this with the engine idling? Sounds like maybe your alt needs to spin faster. Look into changing the pulleys.

You can add as many batteries as you like but system voltage will not go up because of them. Standard car batteries operate at 12 volts; only the alt puts out higher voltages.

How would I go about changing the pulleys?

A 300 amp alternator puts out about half of that at idle. To get the full 300 you need to be over 1200 rpm. I would also recommend two Optima Yellow tops (parallel) for your setup.
