According to DEI the speed sense wire is the dark/green wire at  The PCM (Powertrain Control Module).  It is in the left front of the engine compartment to the left of the fan shroud. The VSS wire is in the green plug, pin 50.

According to rostra.com,
The wire color is GREEN / WHITE
It can be found at the PCM in a green plug.
It may also be found in a 10 pin plug located near the brake booster.
According to DEI...
Dark GREEN / WHITE located at PCM in green plug.
May also be found at the instrument cluster.

You can easily get to the speed sense wire behind the cluster 4  7mm bolts for you can also get to it by removing the heater vent, light control assembley no bolts. The wire is GREEN / WHITE wrapped up in light grey tape. The tach wire is also located there and it is white for those of you who do remote starters.
