Hi all,

I am looking for a T-type or a JK-type flip flop that will handle 12 volts. Does anyone know where I can get one of these or if they even exist. Thanks

I do not know of any logic circuits that will operate on 12 volts.  Above is a diagram of a latching relay.  It is basically a T-Type flip flop with 12 volt application.  What exactly are you trying to do?

I want to use it to control my heated mirrors that I am installing on my truck. An engineer at work drew up some latter logic on how it would work but I needed a T type flip flop.

You can check out digikey for some cmos flip flops.  I would guess they would have a 30vdc version.  If you can't find one that operates over 5vdc you can always use transistors to step the voltage down.

Where do I find a relay like that? Do you know a model number for it so I can order one?

It is 4 bosch single pole double throw relays.   Available at any stereo shop and probably at autozone.

You have to wire them as in the picture.     Oh yeah the 2 black things on the two left most relays are diodes.  1n4001 available at radio shack.   and the little blue thing at bottom of the pic is a normally open momentary pushbutton switch, also available at the shack.

Thank you that is what I was looking for. Now I can go and pick this stuff up and see if it works.

OK I have another question for everyone. Is there a circuit that will function as an AND Gate? Or do you know where I can get a 12 volt AND Gate?
