How many do you want it to have? 2? 3? 4? 78? your car, your money, your decision.

If your system is stereo, it should have two channels, plus a subwoofer if you want one.  If the system is 5.1 surround sound, then it should have 6 channels including the sub.  If it's mono, it only needs one.  It's pretty simple really.

Are you watching movies in the car or listening to radio? If radio stereo is fine, if you watch movies go with surround (and get the processors too)
