Hood pins are very important not only for saftey but also security, and are reqired by law. if you dont insatll a pin and a mechanic is hurt you can be in big trouble . if u live in an area where corrosion is an issue paint it

The way it pans out in the us, is as long as the discalmier sticker is visible than the hood pin is an option, yes it would still be an issue in a civil case (everything is). As far as security, this is a standard remote starting system, not an alarm.

in the case of an injury to a mechanic due to not hqaving a hood pin the case would not only be civil but criminal. anyways thats how it goes in canada

i said that theyre important for security in general i am aware that this is only an rs install. too many installers think that things like this are optional
