so i'm getting rid of the old and inwith the new.... but not yet. i have the main system picked out it consists of a MPE-F450 to power the SPR-57LS in the front and SPR-57C in the rear. also i will have a MPR-M650 powering a 12" type r at 2 ohms. so the question is...... i h ave a nice 4AWG amp kit already going to the trunk and my heart is set on keeping that and getting a distrabution block the split the 4 AWG into two 8 AWG the power each amp. i know the MPE-f450 will work with the smallerr cable but will the bigger MPR-M650? If this just isint going to work how would the smaller MPR-450 compare?

also how does the system look so far honestly before i order it all lol

Should be fine, remember after distribution the 8 gaugs run will probably be only a few feet at the most. Make sure to either get a fused distribution block or fuse each 8 gauge lead off of the distro block.

Thanks for the quick response! ok so now for the fuses the 4 AWG has a inline fuse on it already would it be safer to put the fuses on the 8 AWG going to the amps, this way i would have two and i could get the right size fuse for each amp or should the fuse i have already be fine. also how does the setup look so far?

remember the in line fuse are there to protect the power wire not the amps. Keep the inline fuse at the head end of the 4 ga by the battery cable. when you buy a distribution block just get one that is fused. The reason is simple, the 4 gauge wire can handle a lot more current than the 8 gauge so fuse accordingly I would think and 80a for the 4 ga-- maybe 40a for the 8 ga.
