Hi, I have a Clifford Matrix 50.5x remote start that was installed by a local shop. I now want to add a proximity sensor (508D) to my convertible after a break-in. I want to figure out if I have any inputs free before taking apart my dash or ordering the part from Directed!
I have the shock sensor that came with the 50.5x, a tilt sensor, a hood pin, a trunk ball sensor that detects when it is tilted open. I think it tied into my stock door pins, and there were door lock actuators added on. I have the original 50.5x siren and the added backup battery siren.
FYI, my vehicle is a 2000 Mazda Miata LS
Thanks.

Wire up the 508D like that so that when the alarm goes off,
Sensor 1 is Shock Sensor, while Sensor 2 is your Proximity Sensor.

So basically the brain's blue goes to shock sensor's blue and green wires. The brain's green goes to proximity sensor's blue and green wires. I thought my tilt sensor was zone two though... do I have enough inputs?
Thanks!

its okay to have 2 sensor for one input, since all your other inputs are already being used up.
But when the alarm goes off and u see Sensor 2, you wont know if its the tilt of the proximity sensor that triggered it.
Thats the only down side, but i really doubt u care, as long as your car is protected, right?
