I have a problem with the engine immobilizer? of my Mazda 626 GF / 9/1998. I am a nurse working on the south pacific island Nauru for the hospital; no garage no service, nothing and have lost the key of my car. Now an Australian service garage of Mazda sent me a new key but this key did not communicate with my car; the engine immobilizer control lamp is still flashing and the car did not start. Can you help me?????? I have a guy here who is a good technician and we think able to perform something, if he gets the knowledge how.

Sorry but it sounds like you need the key to be programmed by Mazda.  There is really nothing you can do.  Call Mazda and tell them they did not work and to send you the proper key with the right code.  Only thing you may do is leave the key in the ign position and wait for they light to turn off and then crank.  If that doesnt work then you must call Mazda.  Good Luck

you will need to have the key programmed by a scan tool if you cant find a mazda dealer try a ford dealer (they own mazda) and use the same transponders. or try a locksmith sometimes the have the eqipment to program keys

if you do you can pull the transponder chip from the bypass and replace the one in your key with it. it may also have a in a box bypass

or you could buy a scan tool expensive but you could use it to make money especially if there is no garage out there autoingenuity.com has a pc based scan tool that will perform key programming as well as all other diagnostics for almost all vehicles
