I am designing a new system and was wondering what amp i should match to 2 JBL GTO1204Ds. I was looking for a 2 channel with 600w x 1 rms bridged. I have been trying to find an amp but haven't found a whole lot. I'm making this system for a 16 year old kid so all it has to be is loud. Any amp suggestions would be helpful. Price range of $200 - $400. It doesn't have to be a 2 channel. I will run an amp at 1 ohm if i have to though i usually don't. Thanks.
Sub specs:

MOUNTING DEPTH - 5-1/16"
COUT OUT DIAMETER - 11-3/16"
OVERSIZED PLUS ONE CONE
SEALED BOX VOLUME - 1.0 CUBIC ft

ok, i need your help, some guy on yahoo answers posted this.....
"would get the Audiovox or the Jenson amps they are the best. Hands down. Second best is Rockwood."
now maybe someone who knows what their talking about can help me. the best i found was a kenwood KAC-X20. It is 520 x 1 bridged rms @ 4 ohms.

Haha. Stay away from both Audiovox and Jensen (both made by Audiovox, actually). I would actually take Jensen over Rockwood! -Boy, some of the things people say.

The Kenwood KAC-X20 would actually be okay. Try to find an Alpine or Kicker on sale. Alpine is of way higher quality then all brands I type in this post, but you may find one for a good price. Also, look into HiFonics, PhoenixGold, or even Infinity for a good bang for the buck amp. You'll probably find a 2channel (bridged 4ohms) for less than a 1ohm stable mono amp.

i really can't find anything i like for the price. i got 4 amps right now to choose from, tell me what you think.
1) Kenwood Excelon KAC-X20 - 2 DVC subs wired in parallel to a 2-channel amp bridged to 520w rms @ 4 ohms.
2)Diamond Audio D3 600.1 - 2 DVC subs wired in series to a monoblock amp running @ 1 ohm. 600 watts rms.
3) Cadence TXA-3002 - 2 DVC subs wired in parallel to a 2-channel amp bridged to 600w rms @ 4 ohms.
4) Hifonics ZXi 6006 - 2 DVC subs wired in parallel to a 2-channel amp bridged to 600w rms @ 4 ohms.
What amp would work the best for the JBLs? I couldn't find any alpine or kicker amps either. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Out of your list of 4; the DiamondAudio or the Kenwood.

We did a d3 600.1 monday, the amp was awesome. If its insalled by an authorized dealer it comes with a lifetime warranty. My vote would be either a memphis pr500.1 or the diamond amp.

That diamond amp is a sweet amp. I dont think that you would be disappointed with it. Diamond did change their warranties though from lifetime to three years if installed by an authorized dealer. If it is not installed by an authorized dealer it comes with a one year warranty.

yeah i'm probably gonna go with the diamond amp.  i actually own this amp, i had it with a D6 sub.  I know that the amp is a pretty sweet amp just wanted to know if there was anything else out there or if i should just sell my diamond.  i guess i should since right now it is just sitting in my basement.  the 16 year old kid will be happy with this system any amps suggestions for jbl? -- posted image..

Diamond amps carry a limited lifetime warranty if installed by an authorized dealer, trust me I sell their equipment regularly. The speakers have a 3 year warranty.

Yeah thats what I thought about the warranty as well but I have put in several D3 amps recently and in the owners manual that comes with them it states 1 year warranty if purchased from an authorized dealer and three years if installed by one.
