Hello,
I just had 2 identical Avital 4100's installed in 2 different cars, 1 in my wife's car and 1 in my truck. Can I take my remote and use the unused trunk release button on my remote to either start her car or unlock her doors???
Thanks,
Scott

Yes you can. I would recommend bringing both cars and all remotes back to the place that did the install and ask them to do the programming. Call ahead and make an appointment. It shouldn't take long, assuming they installed the programming button.
Depending on how many options (channels) you are currently using on each remote, you should be able to control lock/unlock and start for both cars from all the remotes.

Thanks for the fast reply!!!
Is this something I can do myself?? I know where the program button is and seem to understand the programming instructions. Is it just a matter of going to her car:
Turn the ignition to the ON position
Press the program button 4 times and then press again and hold it
Press the Lock/Unlock and "snowflake" buttons at the same time on my remote.
Will this then start her car by pressing the Lock/Unlock and "snowflake" buttons??
Can I use these buttons and just not have the "turbo start/short run" feature that I will not use anyway??
Thanks,
Scott

Any combination of 2 buttons should work. Just try it...if it don't work, try another unused combo.
