I had an Avital 4100 installed in my 2001 Durango last night. When I push the lock button I get one flash from the parking lights and the doors lock. When I push the button again to unlock I get 2 flashes from the parking lights (all normail so far) and the doors unlock and then I hear the doors try to unlock again right after.
Is this normal???
Thanks,
Scott

Does the drivers door unlock on the first attempt, and then all of the doors on the second attempt? If so, that is normal.
There are two wires in the truck that control the doorlocks. A WHITE/ green wire that goes to the door lock switch on the drivers door and a lt. GREEN/ orange wire that goes to the key cylinder in the drivers door. If you have a factory alarm, they should have only connected to the lt. GREEN/ orange wire. If they connected to both wires, that could explain the double unlocking.
