using door lock act for trunk release?

With the proper relay and wiring , do you think it'll be possible for me to use a DEI door lock actuator to unhatch the trunk on a 94 civic? As far as physical restraints go, I realize it won't pop it up, I  just need an unlock.

Possibly, i think the actuator would generate enough force to pop the level.

A cheapie solenoid trunk popper kit is only like $12.00 plus shipping on ebay .. i just did one for a NIssan Maxima '97, works great after one year!

The typical door lock actuator only rips 6, or 7 lbs. of pull.It " might" work.....but like ubers said. how long will it serve you?
