I haven't purchased anything yet. I work at Circuit City and get an employee discount on python alarms. I like the 1 mile range and pager style remote for this alarm. I could care less about remote start, probably be a big pain since my car is a manual trans. The only other alarm/keyless is the python 460. But it's security features aren't as good as the 990's and doesn't have the pager remote.

How bout this luckydawg.....just install the alarm portion of the system.  Don't install the remote start portion till the module is available.  Don't know how much confidence Circuit City has with its installers installing the 689m module so just do the alarm portion.  Its easy to do and should not give you any issues.  The system is not affected if the remote start is not installed.  Only thing I would have an eye on is the yellow wire coming off the ribbon which needs to see ignition.  You need to tag that wire to an ignition source and your done.  As for the starter kill you dont really need it.  You already have a factory immobilizer but if you want to do it you can.
