I just bought a used Radio/CD Player for installation in an RV and would like to test it before installing. I've got a couple what I hope are simple questions.

1) The wiring harness includes leads labelled "Ground", "Must Be Connected Battery +12V", and "Turn On +Acc". To temporarily power the radio for a test, can I connect the "Ground" to the a negative 12V battery terminal and the "Must Be Connected Battery +12V" to a positive 12V battery terminal?

2) The antenna connector has a female plug that corresponds to male plugs I see coming off auto antennas in diagrams on the internet The external FM antenna on the RV, however, has a coaxial cable connector like the back of my TV. Is there some type of conversion plug that will connect the radio antenna female plug to the coaxial connector? If so what is it called?

You must also connect the ACC ON + wire to actually see if the radio functions, as this is its main power supply. the 12+ Constant wire is to retain memory, among other things

Thanks. Everything checked out ok. I resolved the antenna problem with some parts from Radio Shack.
