Adding Power to Security Lights

I just went out and purchased some bright blue LED secuirity lights. No I can easily hook them up and they will work fine, but they are just not bright. I tried installing a relay and that added more power. The problem was that when the relay was in, I could not make it a switched 12v so when my ignition was on they would turn off. Does anyone the the wiring diagram so that I can add a relay for more power?Team Xtreme

Most bright blue LED that manufacture cliams were not bright at all. Well, true Ignition wire shows ground when the key is pulled out from the Ignition switch. You can hook up a relay to it and the LED will work. Relay configuration: Pin 85 and 87 to 12 Volts constant, Pin 86 to True Ignition wire, Pin 30 to LED power input, and Pin 87a do not use. BTW, do not cut the small circuit board comes with the Blue LED. If you cut it than you will have to add a resistor on the LED to reduce the voltage. Good luck.

led s wont accept more power if you do they will urn out you need to get a higher rated led

are you using an alarm to flash them?  if so what is the voltage of the L.E.D. output VS the actuall L.E.D. s you are hooking up.  you might have 12v L.E.D.s and only 3v output.Phill Bowen
