I just installed a viper 300esp in a friends 87 4runner. I can not get the alarm to recognize the remote. I noticed that the alarm has no type of antenna and i could not find the internal jumper for program mode. This is a second hand alarm. Any help or tips would be awsome.

                Thanks

The "antenna" should just be a piece of loose black wire, about 12-18" long, coming out one side of the brain.
Since it's used, maybe someone cut/broke it off. I would unscrew the case of the brain, see if you can find where the wire was soldered to the circuit board, and add another one.
But, even with the antenna missing, the remote should still work if the remote is super-super close to the brain.
