I recently acuired an Eclipse CD8443 and I really love how it improved my stock system. I was going to be adding my old JBL GTQ400 amp. I had someone mentioned that the 8v rca outputs on the HU will cause damage to the amp. He said most amps are made to take a max of 5v and only a handfull of amps can handle the 8v load. Is this true?

Won't be a problem at all. I have used my Eclipse on amps that claim 5v max. Just be very precise when you adjust gains.
