car won't start passlock ii wire

Help... my car won't start after cutting the passlock wire and then splicing it back together.  I have a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue.

Leave the keys in the ON position for 15 minutes or until the Passlock light stops flashing. Turn key to off afterwards and start vehicle.

Well I did a passlock II bypass on the system and now it starts.  Thanks.
