Head unit: either alpine or jvc

Subs: TREO Engineering 3yr warranty and almost everything is made in the USA

Highs and Mids: TREO Engineering any of their lines are great, their entry level RSX line sound really good.

Under the impression that they were looking for a single company solution, but that was an ASSumption. You would think that I had learned by now.

Not a hugh car audio extremist, I just want to here my music with the windows down on the freeway.  I have a 2011 crew cab Silverado with OEM  Bose navigation that I equipped with JL Audio Clean Sweap, HD 900/5, C5 componet's in all four doors, stealth box(2 10") and dynamated all around.  I've tried several other brand and to me, JL is the most musical with all the power of any other brand.  I can turn it up  so loud you can not hear anything but the music with the sunroof and windows down, running 80 mph and the high's, mid's and bass are crystal clear. I love a fine tuned system were the big three's all stand out!  JL Audio fan, works great when keeping the OEM head.

There's one I don't see on the list. I guess they don't make HU's anymore hence the reason they are not listed. Back in the '80s I had a Sansui HU that was awesome! Back in those days they were rare but did exist. I paid a pretty penny for it at a place called Leo's Stereo (anyone remember them?) and it was worth every cent. Back then you didn't have all the fancy options you have today but instead you had quality build and awesome sound.

Pioneer all the way. Their Supertuner III series have a superb front end receiver and is superior to others. The ability to pull in distant stations and keep them 'locked' in is excellent. My current model is the DEH-X8800BHS...which has an HD tuner & 4V pre-out's. Something I wanted. My Kenwood BT710HD I have for sale is excellent, however, the receiver sensitivity isn't as good as I would like...especially living in the middle of nowhere wast of Chicago by 70 miles.
