Hello and thanks for any advice you can give me in advance.

I have a 2002 Honda Accord.  I recently removed the factory stereo and replaced it with a Panasonic CQC7105U CD /I POD / Sat radio.  I added a Sir-Pan-1 Sirius Satellite Tuner.  The head unit itself sounds great.  The problem is with loud engine RPM noise coming through satellite.  I know it is the satellite because when I remove power from the satellite, there is no noise whatsover.

There are three wires on the satellite tuner power harness:  one goes to the battery positive, one goes to a ground ( I have tried two different grounds with no difference), and one goes to an ignition powered circuit (I took it to the moonroof fuse).  I even bought a noise filter from Crutchfield and wired it into the harness.  No better.

Anyone have any ideas?  Right now I have simply removed the satellite radio because the whine is so bad.  Thanks again for your help.

possible bad unit. but if you havent tried it yet try moving the unit itself to the other side of the car....

does it only do it when your listening to the sat radio...or no matter what?

As long as the satellite unit is hooked up, it does it.  Doesn't matter whether I am listening to radio, Aux, or Satellite.
