The car is Honda Civic DX so it didn't come with auto locks. I am going to the junk yard tomorrow and will get an actuator from a civic, with brakets and all. Yesterday I installed Viper 791XV with a starter. From the alarm main unit there is three wires (one of which is not used).

First wire (-unlock/+lock)

Second wire (+unlock/-lock)

The actuator that I am getting has five wires and I am planing on using only 2. I've searched but nobody made a thread on which was I should hook up the two relays. So I would like to know if the following diagram is the way I got to hook up my relays?

Thank you

So do I need to put diodes on alarm wires that go to the relays?

You will need realys. You're better off buying aftermarket actuators they are cheap and more reliable than honda actuators. Those are the most common for burning out.

I would not use the OE locks as well. More of a P.I.T.A. than installing some aftermarket's.

Wire the relays like the ones you found on the volt (aftermarket) No need for diodes.

I bought an actuator but I couldn't make it work. I mounted in two different locations but it just wouldn't open/close the door. So I am just gonna get an OEM honda actuator for like $20 from a junk yard.

Open or close the door.... OR lock and unlock.

I am simply telling you the easiest, and most effective way to do the job. The OE option should take you a while. (should) to do correctly.

Well,  I got it all to work. The aftermarket acuator is moving back and forth when I press lock/unlock so thats  a good thing because it actually works. Today I'll try to install the actuators so that it actually locks unlocks the door:)
