car radio in house?

I know this is a little out there, but i'd like to see how feasible it is.  I had a pretty decent setup in a car i just recently took off the road. It consists of :   2 rear 6x9's , 2 front 6x8's, a 12" sub, pioneer head unit, 2 amp's ( 4-channel for the speakers, and the other for the sub.) , a capacitor, and xm sat equipment.   My new truck has sirius built in and i already am pre-paid for the xm for a while, and i'd like to try and set up the xm in my house.   I've looked into an IOTA power converter (120v AC to 13.6v DC)   so what do you think?    any help or suggestions is appreciated, thanks,   Rob.

What about just getting a home kit for your XM radio?

definatley just get the XM Home kit, they only run around $100 and they are plug and play.

My aftermarket head unit, car antenna and receiver will work with the home kit?

ok well if you just want the XM Radio to work then all you need is the home kit and your physical XM unit. (the home kit includes - home antenna, base station and some audio cables to hook up to an existing stereo system and/or you can transmit wirelessly to a stereo in the house) But if you are dead set on using your car deck in the house then you need to get a power inverter to hook it up. But in reality the head unit is just going to be a useless waste of time and effort.

Also for the amperage you are gonna need you are gonna pay more than you would for the home kit

I almost corrected you till I scrolled down, lol! He also needs to add up the amperage (factory fuse ratings) of all the equipment and make sure the power supply can uh.....supply .....the needed current.
