What's up guys....
I was just wondering if this would make a good combo. I already have the speakers and could get the amp at a decent price.
Let me know you thoughts...
Thanks...

1 dual 2ohm sub connected to that 2ohm stable mono amp with the coils in series;

https://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=1&I=22 -option #2, 4ohm impedance

will get about 500watts RMS. This is what I recommend. Pretty nice, although you could get a better sub though...

Okay, now I see that you said you already have the speakers. How many dual 2ohm subs do you have?

Cool. Wire the subs to the amp like so;

https://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=22 -Option #1, 2ohm load to amp.

This will get the full 800wrms from the amp. Note, with 800wrms, you at least need to do the Big3 upgrade;

You may need a HO (high-output) alternator.

What kind of vehicle? What kind of box for the L5s?

Planning on installing it in a 1994 Suburban, stock alternator but have not done the Big3 yet. Was going to use 4 gauge wire, you think it big enough or do I have to go with 1/0?
Thanks...

From what I can see, your truck has either a 100, 105, 120, or 140 amp alternator in it.

For every option but the 140, 4g will be fine. You might as well do it big to begin with!

Box wise, I have no idea which one to go with. Sealed or Ported. I listen to all kinds of music, rap, hip/hop, rock, 80's, pop... I just want it to hit hard when I listen to rap, hip/hop...
Now I have to start trying to find specs for the correct box. Do you have any ideas.
Thanks.
