I have tried many methods of programming this PKF-3 version H3.S3 module on my 2007 Mazda CX-7 with no luck.

First I reset the module (pressing reset button while powering up).

Module flashes about 1 flash/second like security light in dash.

Then I insert first key to "on"  till security light goes out, then the same for the second key and then activate remote start. When the first and second keys are turned to "on", light on module flashes constantly about 3 flashes/second. When remote start is activated, module light comes on for 3 seconds and security light in dash flashes constantly. I know from this that the module isn't programmed to match keys.

My remote starter is working because when key is near cylinder and I press remote button, car starts.

I have tried inserting keys for 1 second each, 5 seconds each, till the security light goes out, grounding brown wire on module, not grounding wire on module, waiting 2-5 minutes after pressing remote start button till starting car with key and every combination in between that I have read on different forums with no luck.

Is this the right module for the job? Is it the right Hardware/Software version? Is there any thing else I can try? If anybody has any ideas for me please post. I will answer any questions that you have for me. Just stumped on this one.

Thanks

Make sure that your IGNITION wire is infact an IGNITION wire and then check to make sure that the TX and RX are not flipped around.

It is an ignition wire, and I flipped the rx/tx wires to check them and the module won't flash with the security light in dash and will not program. There must be something I am missing. Is there any flash codes for the pkf-3 module and what they mean? When I turn the key to "on" in program mode, the light flashes constantly at a rate of about 3 flashes/second. Is it supposed to do this, or is it supposed to be solid?

Thanks

Is your module looks like this, if so, did you connect the red to +12 or to the ign wire ?

My next option was to use xk04. I don't want to use a key unless I am forced to. Is the PATS on the Mazda CX-7 the same as any other Mazda/Ford from previous years?
