I have a good grasp on Omhs Watts etc but I am kind of thrown off on what I am thinking about doing in my next install I am thinking about running

3 IDMAX 10 inch subs. Usings the Subwoofer Wiring Diagrams on this pages it says that 3 2ohm DVC subs can do a 3 ohm load

so my question is will this amp be Sufficient

Ma Audio HK4000D

Or maybee recomend some other amp under the $1000 Mark?

MA with Image Dynamics? you must be kidding. Has MA become the new Audiobahn? Buy a JL 1000/1v2. Yes a real amp.

Forget the MA, for the same money you can get a real amp with real power in the JL or even the Alpine PDX1.1000.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Less than $2000? How about $850?! That's $850 for 1000watts RMS! Let's do some simple math now; 850+850=1700. You could get 2 x 1000watt RMS amps. Think about it; approx. 2400watts RMS for less than $2000.

Holy crap, tinkin aboot ye /////Alpine made me' juice a bit.

Crap! I don't know! I didn't realize you have 3 subs.

You could go with 3 PDX1.600's. One for each sub. That would come out to about $1200.

The three 1.600's is a SWEET idea!
A REAL 1800 watts RMS for 1200 bucks! I have the 1.1000 in my trunk, and it's a TON of power! I think you'll be VERY pleasantly surprised!

ran into something similar with my setup...just remember that you wont get much more spl with the three amps. and also remember the extra space and wire your going to need before picking up the three amps. if you just wanted something simple i would def recommend either the alpine pdx1000.1 or the JL 1000/1 you will be very happy either way.

How will he not get as much SPL with the 3 amps? They're all of the same power rating, each powering a separate identical sub in it's own -correct- airspace. Sounds good to me!

1 1000watter would be enough for 3 10's, in a ported box especially. But for crying out loud, his available funds went from 1000 to $2000 for sub amp(s).

I'd get the 3 PDX600.1's (stack 'em!) and keep the box sealed.
