I added a relay to my remote wire and every time I turn the radio on or off I hear a loud pop through the system. Is there a way to stop this? If this is mentioned somewhere else I apologize.
Another thing, not really a relay question but same idea as above. When using a power inverter can you prevent the surge when starting the the vehicle ?

yes. you can add a diode between the 85 and 86 with the band toward to side of relay you have the +12 v hooked to. This should stop the pop.
or with transistor and capacitor and diode. here is the image.

Thank you for the response. I'm on my way to add a diode.
