Has anyone encountered a problem with a Prostart remote starter for a manual transmission kicking itself out of ready mode for no reason. The starter was installed into a 1995 Jetta Diesel. I think it may have something to do with the door trigger but I am not sure. Can anyone help?ready mode problem -- posted image.

"kicking itself out of ready mode for no reason"

can you explain more? when you remote start, does the car nudge forward?

when the owner leaves the vehicle he performs the sequence of events to get the manual vehicle into ready mode. if he leaves the vehicle for a short period of time the car leaves ready mode without any sign of the door opening or anything else. Then it will not remote start.

Ihave checked these. This RS is installed into a 1995 VW Jetta Diesel. The wires are all the ones that were listed in the wire color diagrams. I have heard that this vehicles alarm monitors the doors constantly while the doors are locked. if this is the case it would have to send a signal to the door switch. I am not sure if this is true or not. If this is the case then the remote wire would be getting a second signal from the door switch then thinks the door is open so it leaves ready mode. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Do you need to isolate all four doors or just the driver door?

If the doors are triggering to ground after it's been placed into ready mode, then the OEM alarm will sound. Does this happen ? The only thing that would not trigger the OEM alarm but will cancel ready mode would be the application of the foot brake or the hand brake looses ground.

The OEM alarm does not sound. The wire I used for the emergency brake,if I remember correctly, switched from positve to negative when the brake is engaged. Was this the right wire to use?ready mode problem -- posted image.

I used pin 85 on relay 110 at the fuse and relay box under the driver's side dash. Take in mind that this is a Canadian Jetta and it has OEM daytime running lights therefore having the DRL relay in the fuse panel.
