Those slots in each side are not ports they are slots to hold CD cases,They are attached to each side of the sub enclosure.Im wondering if  I can put ports in the sides of my enclosure and port them into those slots becouse i dont have enuf room in the face of the wall for 4,4"portsAdding Ports -- posted image. Adding Ports -- posted image.

Yes you can but you have to have a separate port for each chamber. Read this article on vent placement it should help you out a lot. http://www.mtxaudio.com/caraudio/education/enclosureConstruction.cfm

But my enslosure is only 2 chambers..with 2 woofers per chamber .....so do I put 2 ports per chamber then.........

It doesn’t matter if you run 1 or 2 per chamber; you could even run 4 per chamber. By adding or taking away ports it just affects the size of each port... Just be sure you do the math so you have the correct size ports for the number of ports that you have.

Those slots would creat a cool blow by effect if they were ported. Could get annoying over time though.

Well I ported it out the sides into the slots.I put 2  4" ports in each side it sounds like crap for listining to music,But for spl I think it hits quite a bit harder .......So I got 4"PVC plugs for the ports  and i have it sealed for everyday listening and ported for SPL.......it works pretty good..thanks guys
