I have installed tons of stereo equipt and other auto stuff, but never a cruise control.  I was wondering if someone could recommend an aftermarket unit for my 1990 Nissan Truck manual 2wd and any install tips.  thanks

Rostra makes an excellent cruise. If you have never done one before, I suggest having it professionally installed. There are many things to be concerned with. The most serious concern is with the throttle linkage. If it is done wrong, it could cause the throttle to jam open and this wouldn't be good. If you want to try it, read the install manual thoroughly first. Rostra has a very good manual.

I agree with sparkie. I like the Rostra electronic cruises. 250-1316

If your dealing with a 4-cylinder motor and many of those trucks were, pedal pull is recommended. I've done about  20 or 30 of those trucks over the years. If you get a 250-4244 throttle adapter (I know its a Toyota adapter) discard everything but the linkage adapter. It will fit the NIssan with just a little touch up with a dremel.

This will move your linkage away from anything that might cause a hang up. Besides I would rather have my teeth pulled or a root canal than do a pedal pull.

Well thats my 10-cents worth.
