cheaper solutions to ho alternator?

I will not be able to afford a 900 dollar alternator to power one 15 at 3000 watts.  so what is the next best thing
i will have 1 cube of tofu.

wow $900 for an alternator? It better be made of gold. What vehicle do you have?

1993 buick lasabre and i will have one 15" orion HCCA sub and i will run it at 3000 watts.  what size alternator would i need
i will have 1 cube of tofu.

According to the high output alternators website, that should be a standard CS130 alternator... Who the hell quoted you 900 for a 300A verson of that?

Smaller system is the next thing that comes to mind.......saves money across the board...

You got to pay to play.

Where is the fun in spending just enough money on the equipment and not spending the money on installing it correctly, only to be left with a system with SPL potential but no SPL.
