mecp masters test

I'm going to man up and take the master installer test soon, and was looking for some help. I have the study guide, but in doing some research online, a lot of people are saying that there is pretty much nothing on the test that is in the study guide. 

For anyone who has taken this test recently or is master certified, what should I be studying? What things will I need to know to pass this test? Any books you recommend to study out of? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

The book goes over a lot of newer stuff, like blue ray and HD formats, as well as custom fabrication and things like data bus systems. What I'm really looking for I guess is whether or not the test has been updated for a while. I used to work with a guy who took the test and failed and all he did was b*tch and moan about zobel crossover networks. He had no clue what they were. There isn't any info on zobel crossovers in the study guide. The guy I worked with took the test about 4 months ago, so I don't really know what to expect.

btw, I do know what a zobel crossover is. no need to post that info :)
