I"m trying to remove the headersts so I can install some 7" monitors, but I can't get the old headrests off. I've read a lot that is supposed to work, such as going one inch from the top and yanking it, pulling the seat cover up supposedly exposing clips ( didn't work ), and use of some kind of tool. Tried a lil' screwdriver, but that's it as far as tools go.  Does anybody know how to get these damned things off?

Finally got it. The first one was pretty stubborn though.

Wow man, I forgot I even started this thread. It's been a while now so it's kinda hard to remember, but if memory serves correctly, I'm pretty sure I stuck a lil' screwdriver down beside the post and kinda pushed around on it till it sprung the part that was holding it in. Give this a try and if ya can't get it I'll go outside, take a closer look , and write back with as much detail as possible.

Ps- Hope ya don't need to change rear speakers. I just did it today. Man what a pain in the ass! Pontiac had me pulling seats and all kinds of crazy stuff. Seemed like it took forever...
