Hey everyone
My friend has a 97 F150 regular cab, with one of those ugly funky wedge boxes.
His measures 6.5" Deep, 42" across (the seats) and 16" tall
He currently is running a Power Acoustik amp in 2 ch @ 110W RMS
He wants to get some tighter punchier bass, i suggested a new box, he says he doesnt want to muck with it.
what can he do to improve the bass response of this awkward box???
As i find its ~2.5cu ft which is huge...   he wants to buy a new sub and stay under 250 dollars.
any help is greatly appreciated.
i said, Alpine Type S Dual 4ohm in Parallel running Mono on that amp, with adding a pound of PolyFil to the box... but something seems weird when i think about that in my head.... please help i've been outta the Car stereo game for a bit.

Change the box. The box is what is going to make or break the output of any sub that is mounted into it. Get a box made to spec for that Alpine sub or the new one to guarantee the results.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

I said the same thing, he claims he cant do a different box and is claiming that the box was built by the place that installed it.
He is far away from me so i cant even look at it....
But advice is appreciated if there is something else possible.
