I there a system that is just a rs without alarm? I would like to keep the factory buttons for door lock/unlock to on the key to work. If not I am going to buy the CompuStar 2W900FMR to do the job. Thanks for any input in advance

theres plenty of one button remote starters that you can do for vehicles with factory keyless built in the head of the key. you'll need a data module for the transponder system, or a valet key with a keybox if you dont mind giving up a key. youll have to run a wire into the drivers door to disarm the factory alarm while remote starting, this is easy to do with the right tools, otherwise you may want to invest in a data module for the transponder and factory alarm disarm. i use a long 1/8" drill bit with a right angle makita to drill a hole in the drivers door, remove the door speaker and you can fit a makita in there and get your hole drilled.

yes, there are 2-way remote starters(with no alarm) however once your car is started (with the remote) your factory lock and unlock will not work. Basically as long as the car is on your factory key faub is disabled. this is a security feature(or so they say) therefore if you want keyless and a remote starter then you have to remember to hook up the lock/unlock through the rs unit.
JUst do a search for 2-way rs cause there are many without alarms

galaxy units are actaully very nice and have all features of other units. good thing is they offer warrently for self installs if im correct. But, the only thing is, the 2 way remotes do have the CHEAP feel to them. they arent nice feeling when u hold them like the compustar pro. well its alot of bang for the buck. I have a 5000 2w in my sisters car, cant complain for a unit that was only 100 CAD when i bought it, and it came with a bypasskit as well (keyless of course) and i got the COmpustar pro. No differance from what i see, except my remote looks niceer than my sisters and mine is easier to read all the icons. IMO the screen that scytek uses, its impossibe to see on an angle. And it kills batteries like no tomorrow.

Compustar 2wss-s (1.2 mile range, 2 way range, 900mhz, r/s only) -- harder to find than the 2FM900... (less range.. 3000ft) identical keyfobs though

The search function is your friend.

ok I just looking for opinion since I never had a car that had remote start. Is it worth the extra $100 for the extended range of the 2wss or is the is 3000FT enough?
