2001 Mitsubishi Galant ES

have a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant ES for install of alarm/rs.....anything special i should know or where its easier to catch wires...any help would be appreciated...thanx

any help please...wiring diagram if available...thanx and is there anything out of the ordinary on this vehicle

KEY SENSE

Blue/red

Ignition switch harness

TACH SIGNAL

See notes

On the 2.4L the tach is BLACK/ BLUE or WHITE/ GREEN (2 cyl. Signal) at either of the 2 coils on the top of the engine. On the 3.0L engine the tach is WHITE at the test connector on the engine relay box under the hood, set your remote starter for 6 cylinders.

LOCK

Purple

In harness from driver's door

UNLOCK

GREEN/ red

In harness from driver's door

DOORPIN

RED / black

At ring around ignition switch

HOODPIN

Blue/black

At fuse/junction block

This wire is found only on models equipped with factory security.

TRUNK PIN

White

At fuse/junction block

FACTORY ARM

Lt.GREEN/ black

At fuse/junction block

This wire is found only on models equipped with factory security.

FACTORY DISARM

Red

At fuse/junction block

This wire is found only on models equipped with factory security.

BRAKESWITCH

Green

At switch above brake pedal

PARKLIGHTS

GREEN / WHITE

In connector on fuseblock

HAND BRAKE

YELLOW /GREEN

At plug on handbrake lever

HORN

Lt.green

At steering column
