1995 plymouth neon sport.
Trying to hook up keyless entry to power locks.
I hooked up the device to the actuator wiring and got nothing. Where do i hook up the pos and neg to trigger the locks?
Aparently its negative triggering, do i need to hook up to the 5 pin relay?
Thanks in advance, this has been sitting in my car for months and i would love to enter my car without having to go through my passenger door.

Ps i tried the diagrams on the site but those wires didnt work. The actuators put out 2 volts or so and so does the keyless entry device. Im very technically advanced so ask me anything. Thanks all

a 95 Neon has 5wire locks. also called reverse polarity locks. you need 2 relays for this to work. the lock wire is ORANGE / purple and the unlock wire is pink/purple. these wires are located in the drivers door harness. use the 5wire alternating 12 volt positve locks diagram from this link to wire up the relays.

Any advice on what kind of relays i need? Will my 1.5 volt output from the alarm be enough to power a relay?
So that explains why nothing happens when i hook the alarm to the unlock and lock wires coming through the door, i need relays..
Thank you so much for your help.

What system are you working on?
Any 15A SPDT relay will work.
Is it the factory power locks or have actuators been added to the doors?
For 5 Wire locks you need to test and find which is the switch side and which is the motor side of the wires. This can be done by cutting the suspected wire and using a DMM to test for 12 volts while pressing the lock/unlock switch.

Yes im working on the factory power locks, are they 5 wire?
Where is the 12 volt wire? When i take a dmm to the wires going to the actuator it only reads 1.5v when switched. Is that because its not fast enough to read the voltage spike?

You need two single pole double throw relays whose capacity at normally open exceeds 15 amps, I have never seen actuators give out voltage, LOL.
