Ford door ajar noise? How do i disconect?

Someone please help this is driving me nuts!!!!!!!!!

How do i disconnect the door ajar noise on my 1993 Ford Taurus??

What I mean is the bong, bong noise you hear whenever the door is opened.  Its not a problem just annoying to me.

Niko- It's possible one of the door switch wires has come adrift and is now grounded, telling your chime to be annoying. I don't know if Ford used wedge switches in the door latch or pin switches on the door frame on the Taurus. If it's pin switches, pull them out and check if any wires are 'missing'. If it's wedge switches, that's a bit more involved. You could pull the chime unit- you'll lose the function completely- have the ignition on, stick your head under the dash and listen for the sound.

oh you just want the dinging to stop...i dunno how to do it.put duct tape over it.lol
