Basically what I want to do is put a switch in my passenger compartment that will allow me to turn my two cooling fans on in my car for when I am in the staging lanes at the racetrack.  Casper's Electronics makes a plug and play unit that I can get for 80 bux that consists of 3 relays, a switch, an LED, and all that crap... but I don't want to spend 80 bux for something I might be able to make myself.  What I'm looking for is the wiring diagram for either my 01 GAGT 3.4L's cooling fans,  or the diagram for the casper's unit.  Plus anybodies insight on how to accoplish this.  I know how diodes and relays work, but I need somebody elses input.  thanks

well the thing is...the casper's uses three relays and I don't know why.  I would think just find the wire that needs to be hot and use a relay to make it hot when I need it to be...Problem solved.  I have the diagram for the 99+GA 3.4L engine's cooling fan system, but it is pretty dificult for me anyways.

There should be some sort of temp sensor that is used to turn on the fanswhen the coolant exceeds a pre-determined temp when the engine is off(soak back). It probably has a single wire running to it - you should be ableto tap into that with a switch and run the other side to ground. This shouldgive you the override operation that you are looking for.
