Hey guys, I got a new dilema. I thought that since I got the one working in my car that I would be helpful to my brother in law to install an alarm in his car. We got it all installed, and it seemed ok, but when I followed the steps for programming the remote, something went terribly wrong. Now the alarm just goes off constantly, and there's no stopping it. Also the parking lights that are supposed to flash just turn right on and stay on as soon as you plug the harness in, and that's when the siren starts going off. I have no idea what could have happened, but turning the key on and pressing the valet switch doesn't do anything to stop the alarm from going off. Anybody have any ideas?

Make sure that the shock sensor is not plugged in when you plug the main harness in. Also, make sure that none of your trigger points are activated ( hood, doors, trunk, etc ). The Ford's have a (+) door trigger system , so I hope you used the PURPLE wire and not the GREEN.

I did use the purple. There is no shock sensor other than the internal stuff. It didn't come with an external shock sensor.

also, can you give me a diagram like the one you hooked me up with for my civic, showing what wires on the alarm go to what wires in the car and where they can be found? We may have used the wrong wires, but we checked them with a meter and they seemed right. THANKS!
