Maybe you guys can help me? I have a Philips dc710 original
radio/cassette in my '96 fiat punto. I want to add CD functionality
to my car, but cannot afford to fork out £200+ for a CD changer.
I bought a 'in car' fitting kit for my personal CD player, this consists
of a
12v to 4.5 volt adapter (ok) rubber mounted plinth for the player (ok)
dummy cassette with lead....(dodgy!)

could you supply me with the info to get the parts required, or the information to
convert my original radio cassette, so it has a 'line in' ?

any help would be greatly appreciated.
best,
Tim.

Hi Tim, your best bet would be to purchase an RF modulator for about $80 USD or less to use with your personal CD player rather than attempting to add a line input to your factory head unit or almost any head unit for that matter.
