2000 Dodge Ram D/L Problem

Ok I'll try this again. I'm having a problem with a 2000 Dodge Ram. Every time I try to tie in relays for door locks, the relays are getting hot. I know the system is 5 wire reverse polarity, but I cant get the thing to work without blowing in-line fuse or keep the relays from getting really hot. I wired it like this 85 on both relays to neg. output from alarm, 87 and 86 to 10a fused 12 volt, 87a on both relays to switch side and 30 on both relays to factory relay side, and vise versa, but still no luck. I feel like an idiot, but like they say no matter how long your in the business you never know everything. Please help me. I had this problem a long time ago, but forget how I fixed it in the past. Do you by chance have the diode on the harness for the relays or are you using just the pins off the relays without the harness ? Have you tried using a different 12 volt source and also different relays ? I had this problem the other day on a Jeep where I needed to convert polarity to (+) and the relays I used got hot ( REALLY HOT ) and I switched relays and the problem was solved. Jeff
