Can I power my headunit, DVD player, and XM tuner box all on the radio harness?

yellow 12vlt constant- XM tuner box and headunit.

red 12vlt acc - dvd player and headunit.

Is this OK?

I will fuse the DVD player, and the HU is fused so I would imagine this is cool but I just want to double check!

Thanks..

Should be ok, but you didn't state the make and model of your car....

Just make sure that the factory wiring can handle the load...

If it can't you'll have to use a relay....

But I do it alot at the shop....even though I know I shouldn't...the owner keeps telling me I don't need to run a relay...

Well wait....if you're jsut talking about having the 12V constant power only the XM and Head unit...yeah you're good to go...And if you're talking about having the 12V acc go only to the DVD and head unit...Yeah you're fine...

Sorry for the long post, Tired, and it just clicked in...as long as you're not running more than two devices off one wire ( Two off the constant, and two off the Acc.... Not three on Constant and three on Acc. ) you're fine.  However, if you notice any change in the performance of the equipment...put in a realy, or if you blow a fuse and it's not due to a short...

2001 eclipse GT!

So I will run 2 and 2 like you stated.

yellow will have xm box and HU

red will have dvd and HU

Seems ok, and i cant imagine the load from the dvd player being huge, but I dont have it in front of me...its coming in the mail tomorrow.  Ill have to check it out when I get it....

Thanks for the OK.  I dont really want to run relays if i dont have to...so hopefully you are right!
