Hi,

I'd like to know if there is some place where I can get some info on how to install a top(roof) mount video monitor on a 2000 Chevy Venture Minivan. I know enough about stereo installations and car audio, so connections are not an issue; my main problem is assistance on removing the headliner and physically mounting the unit to the roof.

Can anyone point me to some diagrams or instructions on how to go about it? Thanks a lot.

Hi Joetryer, you do not have to remove the headliner to install an overhead monitor, but you will need to remove one or more pillars and the trim above them and may need to cut a small hole through the headliner for an additional mounting bracket depending on the monitor/console you're installing. I'll try to locate a set of instructions tomorrow and scan them to give you a better idea. Typically, installing an overhead console and/or monitor is no harder than installing an amplifier
