Honda Accord Windows

I have a problem with my passenger window on my 01 accord. The window rails are dry and won't allow the window to go all the way up causing air inside the car when driving on the freeway which is very annoying. I've tried some crap from autozone that the guy said would work, wd-40, and three in one from wal-mart. Nothing seems to do the trick. They all work fine for the first day and then it is back to normal. Has anyone had this problem, and if so what did you do to fix it? I thought it was my 530T not giving my window enough power but when I put some type of lubricant on the rails it works fine. ~The Rookie~

Don't let the smoke out of your equiptment..it doesn't go back in.

Buy a new upper track. The one for my civic was only like 45 bucks from the dealer.Certified Security Specialist

It is easy to install yourself, a couple of 10mm bolts. Also most dealers that I have seen dealing with track issues use WD40 to lube the track.Certified Security Specialist

The rods that are stopping the window are on the side closest to the hood behind the door. I don't see how I can get to it. The track that is holding the window up is fine. It is just the sides messing things up.~The Rookie~

I only use silicone spray to lube window tracks.  Try bypassing the power window harness to feed the motor 12 volts direct, and see if the movement is stronger.My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
