i have an alpine 8040 that Jeff e-mailled me the wiring diagram for it. I`m putting it in a 1995 GMC sierra p\u.The alarm came out of one of my cars about 8 years ago. I just bought an owners manual and brand new 8440 remote. The programming instructions included with the remote doesn`t seem to be complete. It says to put code rom chip from remote into main unit ,then reconnect power to main unit, and notice silver button on circuit board. It ends there! It doesn`t say what to do next! Also I have the valet switch installed but I also have a black box with access to a switch inside it that i don`t know what it is for.It has an Alpine part number 8313. Also in the wiring circuits 22-alarm out(+), and 25- warning out(-) should go to where?Any help would be greatly appreciatted. Really, I`m probablly not as dumb as I sound.

After you insert the chip into the main unit, you press the button to learn the code to the chip and then you re-insert the chip back into the remote control. The 8313 I THINK is the electroni impact sensor. Does it have two rubber gromets on the front on it ?

I have an electronic imact sensor 8327. This box is approx. 3 in. tall, 3 in. deep, and 2 in. wide. It has a metal mounting bracket on the back and a switch inside accessible thru a rubber grommet on top.It has two fairly large red wires, one smaller orange wire and a black wire coming out of the bottom. Also what does circuits 22 and 25 connect to ? Thanks for all your help Jeff, you`re a GOD!!!
