waht is mosfet and whay is it a good feature to have on an amp

Metal Oxide Semi Conductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET)

Characteristics when compared to normal silicon transistors: high (amplification )gains,low voltage drops across terminals, low power consumption, cheap. high input impedance and low output impedance.

cons: can be destroyed with static electricity easily
