This question is for anybody, but if you are from Ontario it would help even more.  I am interested in getting into mobile electronics, I think I will attend Mobile Dynamics in Toronto, and I know that when you graduate you get MECP Certified (if you pass the test), but I was told that you also have to or should be certified by the government of Ontario (or licensed).  Not sure but if so dose anybody know any info or a web site that can help me out.    Thanks

Go to the local shops around there and ask the Install Manager about this Provincial endorsement for installers. Maybe it's something to do with the insurance broker claim process that if the system is installed by a provincially endorsed company, you get discounts off your insurance. They will know if there such a thing in the works or not.

If you wanna get certified, go to Mobile Dynamics..I went to the phoenix school..

but as velocity said it's really only good for insurance...I'm MECP Basic and First Class, both from Mobile Dynamics...and well the theories they teach are all good...but for some reason, some shops expect you to be a god in the bay and have a load of experience..so if you have no experience now, be warned...

But in my opinion, it doesnt' matter which school you go to....the best teachers in the world, are fellow installers in a bay..there are some thigns they do not teach you in school and they need to especially with all the multi-plexing now...but maybe they do...you wanna learn theories go to school, you wanna learn installs find an installer...
